Client Aspirations
Our client requested an extension to Belfast home to accommodate a new kitchen/living area with a new external area; provision of natural light important
Challenges
House overlooked by neighbours; matching brick materials
Our Response
Crafting a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience, this bespoke house design involved a reconfiguration of the downstairs to accommodate the single-story extension to create an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area in a leafy Belfast neighbourhood, emphasising natural light through the use of large areas of glazing to connect to the new outdoor covered area and patio. Farren Architects also designed a new carport to the side of the home. Bespoke materials including corten cladding for the entrance area were used to create a cohesive, high-end aesthetic.
