Our Response
Design of a low density, high end residential scheme at Cookstown with a mix of house types comprising 15 detached, 34 semi-detached and 3 townhouses. The provision of detached, semi-detached and terrace homes creates a mix of house types capable of creating a high-quality environment that supports a balanced community through choice of accommodation. The sustainable scheme with spacious dwellings and sizeable plot sizes is in keeping with the character of the area. The built environment surrounding the site comprises of retail units to the west and south, housing to the north and agricultural fields to the east. Attractive frontages to roads, dwellings overlooking green space, attractive walled entrance and focal building, landscaped areas, open space and recreation areas with a focal point were incorporated into the design. The design also incorporates walking and cycling connections to town centre and local services.
